Axeda system controls security, energy and lighting at Paris airport

April 22, 2002—Axeda Systems, a provider of Device Relationship Management (DRM) software and services, has been installed at Roissy-Charles De Gaulle airport in Paris, France. Airport technicians can now access real-time data within facility applications such as lighting, security, and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) of the terminal.

The Axeda Supervisor system enables technicians to define and control alarm settings, automate the scheduling of periodic actions, and access or receive device alarms and information through a variety of communications systems. Technicians can be notified of any device breakdown or malfunction, and then either manage the problem remotely or send a technician to the site and the correct tools to fix it.

Axeda Supervisor, a component of the Axeda Device Relationship Management System, is a Web-based decision support solution for managing facilities, devices and automation systems. It offers monitoring and control functionality, integral soft logic features, database integration and decision support tools, hundreds of available device drivers and interfaces, and an advanced scheduling system, all of which operate within an extensive user security model.
