March 31, 2004—Axis Communications, has introduced AXIS Camera Station, a complete IP Surveillance software solution with recording, monitoring and event management functionality for Axis network cameras and video servers. The new software manages up to 25 Axis video sources simultaneously and offers flexible video monitoring and surveillance capabilities.
The AXIS Camera Station is designed to meet the increasing market demand for a complete video surveillance and remote monitoring solution that combines software applications with network video equipment including network cameras and video servers. The complete Axis network solution delivers functionality and ease of use that is ideal for securing retail stores, schools, offices and other facilities over local area networks or the Internet.
Installed on a Windows-based PC, AXIS Camera Station enables users to record video continuously or when triggered by an alarm or motion detection to save network bandwidth and memory. The software’s motion activity search function enables users to quickly and easily find important recorded events and have instant playback of recorded images.
AXIS Camera Station, together with applications developed by Axis’ Application Development Partners (ADPs), forms a strong offering to resellers who can now offer end-users a broad variety of IP-surveillance equipment and applications. The development of the AXIS Camera Station will also add value to Axis’ ADP partners in the form of added components based on the new software. Axis’ ADP program includes more than 150 companies world wide.
