April 25, 2007—Barbour and the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) (both based in the UK) have combined efforts to produce seven practical and comprehensive guides for health and safety professionals.
The guides reportedly deliver authoritative guidance and market-leading information including relevant information, necessary legal requirements, checklists, self-assessment questions, and helpful summaries for ease of use.
Subscribers to the Barbour online service will be able to access expert commentary on the following seven guides: Safety Systems of Work, Emergency Planning, Workplace Transport Safety, Techniques of Inspection, Improving Human Reliability, Perspectives in Occupational Health, and Management and Control of Contractors.
Designed to be user-friendly and easily accessible, Barbour and IOSH have published the guides to support the practicing professional. The new guides—which extend the existing collection covering more than fifty topics—can also be developed as support resources to assist in training members of a larger team.
Barbour’s recently launched Web site also makes a wide range of additional content available including the acclaimed Barbour Briefings, live news feeds, and subject guides with the latest industry updates.
