BASF Styropor earns GREENGUARD certification

December 29, 2004—The GREENGUARD Environmental Institute (GEI) has awarded GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certification to BASF Styropor expandable polystyrene foam insulation.

GREENGUARD certifies that Styropor is low emitting and has minimal impact on indoor air quality. Styropor was scientifically tested under GREENGUARD’s strict emissions standards for insulation products and will continue to be monitored on a quarterly basis to ensure low emitting status.

With GREENGUARD Certified Styropor, builders have more choices in the selection of low emitting insulation products. All GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified Products significantly reduce indoor air pollution. GREENGUARD Certified Products are easy to find in the GREENGUARD Online Product Guide and readily available from the manufacturer without extra cost or effort.
