Bentley Prince St. is in IDCE benchmark for manufacturer on sustainability path

May 26, 2006—Carpet company Bentley Prince Street announces its inclusion in the International Design Center for the Environment’s benchmark for a manufacturing firm on the path to sustainability. As part of this program, the company will receive a Corporate Sustainability Rating from IDCE, with a further commitment to continued advancement in sustainable business practices with annual documentation of its achievements, says Bentley Prince Street.

IDCE’s Corporate Sustainability Rating provides building professionals with a summary of the manufacturer’s company-wide sustainable business practices. The complementary eLCIE Web Tool will provide information on the products’ environmental impacts, empowering facility managers, purchasing agents, architects, engineers, and contractors, with scientifically robust and user-friendly tools to achieve their Environmentally Preferable Purchasing objectives.

The IDCE Corporate Rating System was developed by IDCE by the Sustainable Research Group (SRG), a consulting firm with more than 40 years of experience in environmental management systems and environmentally sustainable business initiatives.
