May 16, 2005—Bentley Building Electrical Systems, developed by Bentley Systems, Inc., in partnership with elcoSystems UK, is a new software solution for the electrical system design and management needs of facility managers, consulting engineers, contractors, and owners in the building industry, the company says.
Bentley Building Electrical Systems provides for the design, engineering, documentation, analysis, and management of building electrical systems, including lighting, power, fire detection, security, communications, and other building subsystems, Bentley Systems explains.
The new software completes the mechanical/electrical/plumbing (M/E/P) solution for Bentley Building and complementsand is fully integrated withBentley Architecture and Bentley Structural. Key design and document production features include automated symbol placement, circuiting, and labeling; raceway design; cable/circuit routing and management; and automated generation of riser diagrams and drawing legends. Reporting capabilities include schedules, bill of materials quantity take-off, and cost estimation.
The system is offered as either a single-user license or as part of the Bentley SELECT and Enterprise License Subscription (ELS) program.
