Lees Carpets received top honors in The Best of NeoCon product competition, winning Best of Competition from among 255 products entered during NeoCon in June at The Merchandise Mart in Chicago. In the Carpeting, Broadloom category, Lees also received the Gold Medal and the Most Innovative awards.
Cited as a new category of flooring, Metafloor is described as a hybrid product that offers the attributes of hard surfaces, including durability to withstand the rigors of heavily wheeled traffic, and the functionality of carpeting, including slip resistance and superb acoustic properties. Featuring Lees’ Duracolor patented stain-resistant dye technology and Unibond backing system, Metafloor is designed and constructed to last longer than typical carpet finishes and is significantly less expensive to maintain than regular carpet or hard surface flooring, Lees points out.
The Best of NeoCon competition is sponsored by Facilities Design & Management magazine, Contract magazine, The International Interior Design Association (IIDA), and Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc.
Lees also earned a Buildings Innovations Award in the Workplace Aesthetics category in a competition sponsored by Buildings Magazine to honor products that provide forward thinking solutions for the workplace. For more information contact Lees Carpets.
