Honoring the best in the commercial real estate industry for superior customer service, the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International and CEL & Associates, Inc. announced the winners of the 2001 National Commercial Real Estate Customer Service Awards For Excellence.
Award winners were determined by customer satisfaction surveys of approximately 6,000 commercial and multifamily properties conducted throughout the year. Management companies were judged on the following eight criteria: readiness to solve problems, responsiveness and follow-through, property appearance and condition, quality of management and leasing services, property and relationship ratings and renewal intention.
The 2001 National Commercial Real Estate Customer Service Award winners are:
Spieker Properties, Menlo Park, California
Prentiss Properties, Dallas, Texas
Boston Properties, Inc., Boston, Massachusetts
Hartz Mountain Industries, Inc., Secaucus, New Jersey
The John Ackridge Companies, Washington, D.C.
Customers, tenants and clients rated their property management companies on a scale of 0 to 100 in each of the eight criteria. To win in its category, a company had to achieve a qualifying percentage of survey responses and the highest score in its respective level.
Although CEL & Associates created the National Commercial Real Estate Customer Service Award For Excellence in 1997, BOMA International has jointly sponsored this awards program since 1999.
