BOMA unveils energy resource center

BOMA International recently introduced a new Energy Resource Center on its Web site. The center provides FM-related tools for reducing consumption and improving building energy efficiency, a bulletin board to ask questions and share expertise with BOMA members, practical tools for dealing with blackouts, and more. It was established after BOMA’s Board of Governors unanimously passed an energy policy that called on all members to take voluntary steps to reduce their energy consumption, and also called on the federal government to address energy supply and reliability issues.

Some of the specific recourses currently being offered through the center include emergency energy tips, long-term energy conservation strategies, information on electricity restructuring and energy efficiency, and links to other energy-related Web sites.
