May 30, 2003—Bon Secours Holy Family Regional Health System has signed a 15-year service agreement with Johnson Controls, Inc., that will help the hospital achieve lower, more predictable operating costs and enhanced environmental system reliability.
The $3.9 million contract includes installing a new chiller plant, lighting updates, and replacing steam absorbers to maintain a quality hospital environment. Johnson Controls will also provide on-site support and training for the Bon Secours staff. These improvements will save Bon Secours $280,000 per year through operational and energy efficiencies. The hospital, located in Altoona, Pa, has 155 beds in its 277,000 square-foot facility.
