BowMac further customizes its emergency response software

July 17, 2006—BowMac, Inc., developer of public safety and emergency response programs, has announced that it has furthered customized its REDI software to now include for use by industry, municipalities, utilities and transportation agencies.

BowMac, established in 1980 by experts in policing, training, and management, has delivered comprehensive critical incident management training in 39 states. In 1997, BowMac licensed REDI, incident prevention, preparedness, response and recovery software, which is in compliance with NIMS.

According to BowMac, REDI ensures NIMS-compliant emergency response plans with guides and checklists; management and categorizing of organizational and community resources; emergency policies and procedures with acceptance and revision control; training for emergency operations team members, and a single Web site location for clients’ emergency management tools.

Currently, REDI software is being used by more than 1,000 school districts nationwide and by communities such as Hoffman Estates, IL, and university campuses like the University of Vermont. With additional customization capabilities, the software is now a comprehensive emergency response solution for transportation agencies, airports, public utilities and corporations of any kind.
