September 17, 2003—Braytonspaces has introduced Serene, a simplified solution to a sleep chair, at the Symposium on Healthcare Design this month.
The Serene Sleep chair is an intuitive chair that is easy to operate from the open to closed positions with just one motion. It adapts as necessary to the user’s need whether in a normal seated position, slightly extended for added comfort, or fully extended for sleeping. The chair construction is engineered for safety and meets all BIFMA testing standards. Rear locking casters allow for secure positioning of the chair, but also enable easy mobility when cleaning the patient room. Optional features include replaceable covers on sleep surface, moisture barrier and CAL 133.
Understanding how healthcare furniture can nurture patient healing and support visitor comfort are principal factors in Studio B’s design approach.
“At home comfort” is what inspired the approach to the new Serene sleep chair. Its style is intentionally understated which is the appropriate characteristic of a good long-term investment.
