“Bricsnet technology to advance “”House and Office of the Future”” in Amsterdam”

Bricsnet’s innovative end-to-end building technology solutions are being used to build Living Tomorrow’s “House and Office of the Future” in Amsterdam. Inspired by a vision of how people will live and work in the future, the Living Tomorrow group selected the world’s leading companies, universities, media, and governments to contribute their knowledge, services, and materials to this project. Participants were selected on the basis of their vision of the future and their willingness to actively participate in the complex building project for a five-year period. According to the Living Tomorrow group, Bricsnet, which is a worldwide provider of Internet services and software applications for the global building industry, was chosen because it integrates advanced building technologies in an end-to-end solution for greater efficiency in the building lifecycle.

Bricsnet Web-based products will be utilized in all phases of this project, from design to facilities management. Bricsnet Architecturals, advanced parametric 3D modeling software for AutoCAD or IntelliCAD, is being used to model the building. Bricsnet ProjectCenter, a widely used project management Web application in the industry, will be used to streamline communications among project team-members. Bricsnet RELMS (Real Estate Lifecycle Management System), a Web-based hosting service for managing real estate properties, will be used to manage the facility.

Bricsnet will work with other suppliers on the project to create intelligent objects (e.g. air conditioners, kitchen appliances, etc.) that run inside Bricsnet Architecturals. These objects enable a digital simulation of the building prior to construction.
