August 10, 2007 — BSRIA, a UK-based consulting company for construction and building services organizations, has created a Schools Network aimed at bringing school project managers and other officials into contact with the construction supply chain.
The objective of the network is to ensure that the 8 billion being injected into the schools rebuilding program is spent wisely and effectively, says BSRIA.
Issues addressed by the network include appropriate forms of procurement; benchmarking of performance; post-occupancy evaluation; and the use of project briefing and feedback tools.
The Network is not confined to building services engineers, but is open to all stakeholders in the schools rebuilding and refurbishment program, says BSRIA.
