October 13, 2004—Keeping Jobsite Safety Books required by OSHA and insurance regulators up-to-date is a constant challenge faced by safety managers of US construction companies. One California firm, BuildSite, has found success in offering an easy solution to this dilemma with its Jobsite MSDS feature.
With Jobsite MSDS, contractors can find current, accurate materials safety information on commonly used items such as gasoline and diesel fuels, propane, construction lubricants, welding gases and paint thinners.
BuildSite’s online database provides product and technical information from more than 200 manufacturers. Contractors can search for materials by MSDS code and aggregate the data sheets electronically into a “book.” This book can then be printed in hard copy for safety managers to carry with them, and it can be e-mailed or electronically faxed to field staff. Additionally, e-copies are archived online for future use on other projects.
