March 27, 2002—Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA) announced the availability of Advantage Data Transformer 2.0 and Advantage Data Transformer Enterprise Metadata Edition (Advantage DT EME) 2.0.
These data transformation and integration solutions enable organizations to execute strategic eBusiness projects, including data marts and warehouses, ERP and CRM deployments, and complex systems integration.
Version 2.0 of Advantage Data Transformer (formerly InfoPump) reduces development time and streamlines the ongoing maintenance of eBusiness systems. Developers can “drag-and-drop” their way through the mapping of sources, targets, transformations, and workflows.
Developers can share and reuse predefined transformations and those they create, increasing staff productivity and promoting the consistency and accuracy of data operations.
Advantage DT EME (formerly DecisionBase Transformer) builds upon these capabilities by providing seamless integration with CA’s Advantage Repository for Distributed Systems (formerly PLATINUM Repository/OEE) and AllFusion ERwin Data Modeler. A new graphical workflow manager simplifies management of the transformation process, including conditional processing, scheduling interdependencies, and invocation of external applications such as email and backup software.
Additional enhancements to Advantage DT EME provide developers with “in-context” access to metadata, versioning support for all objects associated with transformation applications, and in-memory lookups that improve the performance of transformation processes.
