Cap Gemini Ernst & Young and Indus join forces to help power industry improve enterprise asset management

April 28, 2003—Cap Gemini Ernst & Young US and Indus International, Inc., have finalized an agreement to market a joint business solution to help utilities improve enterprise asset management. Indus will bring its functional and technical expertise around serving the electric and water utility industries, while Cap Gemini Ernst & Young will provide industry best practices around business process improvements, system integration, and organization design and change management from serving 70 percent of the world’s largest public and private utilities.

Indus comments that the agreement will allow Indus to improve clients’ profitability by reducing costs, increasing capacity and competitiveness, servicing their customers and billing for services. Indus adds that by combining world-class CIS and EAM capabilities of the Indus ActionPoint Management solutions with the business process expertise of Cap Gemini Ernst & Young will enable it utility customers to further improve their responsiveness, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Cap Gemini Ernst & Young will train 100 consultants on Indus software as part of the preferred alliance agreement and will leverage its Accelerated Delivery Center network of 12 centers in the Americas to help deliver these projects for utility clients on time and “above client expectations.”
