July 20, 2007—Carlisle SynTec ranks highest among commercial roofing systems manufacturers in satisfying contractors, according to the recent JD Power and Associates/McGraw-Hill Construction 2007 Syndicated Commercial Roofing Systems Study.
The inaugural study focuses on contractor evaluations and ratings of roofing systems manufacturers. Overall satisfaction is based on performance in seven factors (in order of importance): sales, marketing, and support (21%); warranty and repair service (21%); product rating (18%); credit/billing process (12%); placing orders (11%); delivery (9%); and price (8%).
Carlisle SynTec receives particularly high ratings across all seven factors. Also ranking above the industry average is Firestone Building Products.
The study also examines two types of potential problem areas that contractors may have with roofing materials manufacturers: timeliness (products arriving on time) and order accuracy. The occurrence of problems in these areas negatively impacts overall satisfaction and, ultimately, customer loyalty and the bottom line.
The 2007 Syndicated Commercial Roofing Systems Study is based on 491 evaluations gathered through April and May 2007 from subcontractors who ordered and purchased roofing materials within the previous 12 months.
