Carpet and Rug Institute adds five cleaning products to seal of approval list

September 25, 2006—Five new products have joined the Seal of Approval family established by the Carpet and Rug Institute, says the organization.

Four of the products qualified as pre-sprays with one of those also qualifying as a spot remover, and one solution qualified under the in-tank category. Each product passed a series of stringent tests performed by an independent laboratory in order to make the list of cleaning solutions.

FiberFresh Crystallizing Cleaner & Spotter earned designation as both a pre-spray and spot remover. Green For Carpets passed the stringent tests as a pre-spray. Both of those products are manufactured by ServiceMaster Clean, headquartered in Memphis, Tenn. Safeguard Traffic Lane Cleaner, manufactured by Daley International of Chicago, Ill., earned its stripes as a pre-spray as did ChemSpec’s DFC 105. ChemSpec is headquartered in Baltimore, Md. The in-tank solution earning SOA designation was ProChems Dry Slurry. ProChem is located Chandler, Az.
