December 1, 2004—CarrAmerica Realty Corporation announced that Panorama Corporate Center in Englewood, Colorado, has received The Office Building of the Year (TOBY) Award for 2004-2005 by the Denver Metro Chapter of Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA).
Panorama Corporate Center earned top honors in the Low Rise Suburban Office Park competition. The TOBY Award program was established in 1985 to honor those excelling in office building management. Judging is based upon an on-site building tour and inspection that includes scoring in the following categories: building standards, community impact, tenant-employee relations, energy management, systems and procedures, building accessibility, emergency evacuation procedures, training for building personnel and physical attributes.
Panorama Corporate Center, at its expected full build-out, will be comprised of nine buildings totaling 1.05 million square feet. The 54-acre office campus is located at the heart of the southeast suburban business district and is adjacent to one of the future T-REX transit system stations. The office park currently consists of six buildings totaling 664,050 square feet and land that will support the future development of approximately 362,340 square feet. Five of the six buildings were developed by CarrAmerica from 1997 through 2001. Panorama Corporate Center is owned by a joint venture between CarrAmerica and New York State Teachers’ Retirement System. Customers in the campus include Charles Schwab & Co., Archstone-Smith, and AT&T.
Earlier this year, CarrAmerica’s Towne Centre Technology Park IV in San Diego, received a TOBY award in the renovation category.
