November 16, 2001—Carrier Corp., a manufacturer of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems, recently unveiled two new series of heat/cool and heat pump PTACs (Packaged Terminal Air Conditioners) for use in hospitality, healthcare, and other institutional facilities. The 52P Premier and the 52C Comfort Series units are Carrier’s quietest and most energy-efficient to date, with energy efficiency ratios up to 12.6 on the 52P Series and 11.1 on the 52C Series. The units’ aesthetically pleasing redesigns offer optimal sound quality, temperature, and humidity-controlled comfort.
All 52P- and 52C-Series models are available in capacities ranging from 7,000 to 15,000 BTUs, and are designed to fit most industry standard 42″ x 16″ wall sleeves. Front cabinets are constructed of durable polymer material. The units feature durable, user-friendly controls and lifetime front-access air filters for effective air filtration, easy cleaning, and maintenance. Options include simplified controls, enhanced fresh air capability, Carrier’s filter system, decorative outdoor grilles, a remote control, and even seacoast protection to prevent corrosion for coastal installations.
