March 9, 2005—Cellbris announces the availability of UniSwitch, a cellular-based security access control and alert system. UniSwitch allows keyless entry to secured doors and gates, turning a person’s cell phone into a remote control and a security ID card, the company says.
UniSwitch connects to a gate or door’s switch and operates by receiving calls from mobile phones without answering them.
UniSwitch includes two security options. Under the basic option, any user dials and UniSwitch opens the gate/door without answering the call. With the advanced option, the door or gate opens only when authorized users are identified via caller ID.
The users can be managed in up to 16 groups with 5 time slots for each group. Access can be restricted to certain times of the day.
