March 8, 2002—Centerstone Software has added new Extensible Markup Language (XML) capabilities to the e-Center One solution, an integrated Internet platform for corporate workplace resource management. The program language will be delivered via Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) information exchange. The software allows companies to keep track of existing occupancy conditions, such as new hires and terminations, and provides an up-to-date corporate directory.
With XML, users can automate exchange of data with other enterprise systems through a standard procedure. All data transfers can be automated to take place in real-time or scheduled to occur nightly. XML is currently utilized by all major ERP providers, including PeopleSoft, SAP and Microsoft.
