CIBSE begins UK carbon clean-up campaign June 5

May 29, 2006—The British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) recently announced that its Partner in Excellence, the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE), will begin a “100 days of carbon clean-up” campaign June 5, supported by the Carbon Trust. At the end of the 100 days, CIBSE will recognize the UK companies that are the most successful at cutting their carbon emissions.

CIBSE will provide a campaign action pack to each company that registers for the campaign. The pack provides a guide and measurement tool to help companies identify potential carbon savings, as well as promotional items to publicize the campaign to staff members. Many events and themed days are also planned to help maintain motivation during the 100 days.

More than 300 companies are currently signed up. For more information, visit the CIBSE Web site.
