VFA Canada Corp., a provider of end-to-end solutions for facilities capital planning and asset management, has announced that the City of Regina is implementing VFA solutions to support the proactive management of municipal facilities.
VFA will assess the condition of municipal buildings and provide software for managing building information, analyzing capital improvement needs and creating long- term capital budgets.
VFA assessment teams will work with the City of Regina to evaluate the current conditions and requirements of approximately 900,000 square feet of facilities including City Hall, fire stations, and recreational and community centers. VFA.facility, VFA’s flagship facilities capital planning software, will serve as the central database of information about the condition of municipal facilities and building systems.
The software will also assist the city in accurately estimating the cost of needed building maintenance and systems renewal, prioritizing various improvement projects based on city objectives, and creating multi-year capital plans for sustaining municipal properties and reducing deferred maintenance backlogs.
