December 29, 2003—Major UK shopping destinations WestQuay of Southampton and The Oracle of Reading have recently selected Cleanfix UK as their approved supplier of floor cleaning machines. With 16 million customers each year, the two sites were looking for reliability, speed, and the ability to clean large areas over a short span of time.
Both sites will be running Cleanfix’s new Golden Assurance System, which gives operations directors and contract cleaning managers instant and secure access to machines and assets in real time over the Web. With the mobile technology, managers can get an instant overview of what has been done, by whom, with which machine, by viewing a one-page summary. All pertinent information is accessible to all staff, from service reports and repair requests to the exact locations of machines and e-mails to and from all users of the system.
Cleanfix is supplying a range of machines for the project because of the varied cleaning applications required for the complex sites. For example, a river runs through the middle of one side of the Reading site, so Cleanfix will supply a machine for the difficult concrete slab cleaning. Also, Cleanfix has provided a janitor scrubber dryer for the food court to replace the “unhygienic” mop.
Besides sourcing all machines for NIC Services Group, which is the company responsible for using Cleanfix machines to clean both sites, cleaning training will be provided by Cleanfix at their headquarters in Romsey.
