November 15, 2004—MASS Systems, The Bracknell-based IT solutions developer, has introduced a new mobile software system to help the UKs National Health Service Trusts gather and analyze data for the National Standards of Cleanliness program.
Running on the latest handheld computers or pocket PCs, Cleanliness MASSter has been designed to help save time and increase efficiency when auditing a hospital’s standards of cleanliness.
Audit details are logged in Cleanliness MASSter via an intuitive PDA screen and the results are then output to the NHS-approved Cleaning Audit Score Sheet ready for reporting the Trust’s performance by functional area. MASS System explains it has focused on ease and speed of use to be beneficial to busy hospital facilities and estates departments. The user audits each of the 40 specific standards for each room by selecting from the system’s drop-down menus and the details are then output to the Cleaning Audit Score Sheet to show overall percentage scores by functional area.
MASS explains that a Trust’s data including location information can be readily imported into Cleanliness MASSter via existing databases, spreadsheets, or estates and facilities management software. Cleanliness MASSter can be used either as a stand-alone application or in conjunction with MASS Systems’ facilities, estates, and property management software solutions.
