September 2, 2002—In response to heightened workplace concerns about security and safety, the International Management Assistance Corporation (IMAC), based in Cleveland, Ohio, has launched IMAC Consulting Group, a team of specialists with extensive public and private experience in security planning, training, and prevention.
IMAC Consulting Group has specialists from the security industry and from the nation’s leading law enforcement agencies, among them the Secret Service and FBI. They will offer critical risk assessment, vulnerability studies, and security planning services that are aimed at reducing risk of personal injury, property loss, or business disruption.
Additionally, IMAC Consulting Group specialists have extensive experience in crisis-response planning and crisis management, specifically relating to weapons of mass destruction. Much of IMAC Consulting Group’s efforts will be devoted to preparing surveys that assess an organization’s vulnerability to potential breakdowns in security, and to recommend effective, reasonable solutions. Surveys will focus on security policies and procedures that are well beyond such obvious considerations as locks, cameras, and alarm systems. They will include recommendations regarding who should have responsibility for on-site security and other improvements that may involve training, equipment upgrades and, if necessary, executive protection.
