December 22, 2004—ComboTherm Commercial Strength Blended Deicer is a processed chip composed of calcium chloride, potassium chloride, and sodium chloride designed to melt snow and ice on steps, sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas. Featuring at least 70% calcium chloride, the product combines deicing performance and maintenance economy. A processed blend combines the deicing chemicals in a single chip.
The deicer contains a helpful “performance indicator” color additive that makes it easy to apply the proper amount—the color fades as the snow and ice melt. It generates heat to melt snow and ice quickly, and remains effective at temperatures to -25 F.
