September 28, 2005—According to research conducted by The Wall Street Transcript, commercial buildings are vulnerable to terrorist attacks, violence committed by employees as well as natural elements such as hurricanes and tornadoes.
While progress is being made to implement technology, screen tenants, ratchet up training of security professionals and coordinate with local authorities, tenants and visitors to commercial buildings face risks to their safety.
The Wall Street Transcript has prepared a report, “The State of Building Security,” which will be released at its November 15 Conference on “Building Security: Turning the Security Threat into a Competitive Weapon” in New York City.
