Commonwealth Sprague launches medium voltage power factor correction units

Commonwealth Sprague, a manufacturer of power quality products, recently shipped its first in-house manufactured medium voltage power factor correction unit, inaugurating a new line of products. The company cites a growing demand for medium voltage systems, which reduce the total amount of electrical current a system must draw from the utility company, as the catalyst for this new line of products. With the addition of these products, Commonwealth Sprague’s power factor correction systems are now available in the 240 Volt-35 KiloVolt range, with Kvar ratings up to 5000 Kvar.
