Red-haired female office worker looking upMarch 2, 2026 —While the February 2026 U.S. jobs report is scheduled for release on Friday, March 6, indicators point to a continued uptick as was revealed in January. In its annual list, “LinkedIn Jobs on the Rise 2026: The 25 fastest-growing roles in the U.S.”, #22 is Construction Project Leads, who oversee the end-to-end of building projects — coordinating tasks, guiding teams and managing resources. LinkedIn notes that their most common skills are value engineering, construction estimating, and subcontracting. The most common industries are Real Estate, IT Services and IT Consulting, Technology and Internet. Those positions are mostly in Dallas, Denver, and Atlanta.

#17 is Data Center Technicians, who install, maintain and troubleshoot computer servers, storage systems and other hardware to ensure reliable data center operations require skills in the management of data center infrastructure, data center operations and cabling, and are found in IT Services and IT Consulting, Technology and Internet, Staffing and Recruiting. These positions are plentiful in Washington, DC; Atlanta, GA; and Columbus, OH.

Both #17 and #22 have a powerful impact on the management of facilities and require talented, credentialed and experienced facility and real estate professionals to follow up on the work performed to keep the new buildings in operation. The FMLink Career Center is showing over 2,500 opportunities.

The McMorrow Reports + FMLink team picked these positions as examples of available jobs on the FMLink Job Board:
