January 19, 2004—Constructware, a project management and collaboration solutions provider, has completed rollout of a new summary reporting addition to its flagship Internet-based application. The toolset automatically mines project and program data and presents it in summary graphics, so that executives and others are quickly alerted to issue areas and can intervene before they become big problems.
The Dashboard toolset is significant in that it allows effective management by exception, helping users of all types cut through information clutter and act quickly on significant issues. The graphics-based toolset is a significant enhancement from Constructware’s earlier Dashboard functionality, which was introduced in 1999. The Dashboard is a “push” technology that automatically delivers summary information to each user’s desktop based on the report criteria they select. More than sixty reports are available, covering costs, schedule, and other indicators of project risk.
