Control and guidance system offered by MTG-Engineering has remote monitoring and reporting capabilities

March 30, 2005—MTG Engineering Ltd. is now offering its patented MILS-System, which promises to improve escape and emergency lighting through the use of real-time information, the company says.

MILS: Modular Intelligent Life-Line, Low Location Lighting, Logistic System.

Low Location Lighting (LLL), of which the MILS-System is an example, is the general industry name for escape and emergency path lighting. The MILS-System is better than passive emergency systems which dont adopt to changes in conditions, says the company. The MILS-System can change lighting conditions, guidance and other information based on the needs of people in danger.

The guiding-light effect can be set with speed variations and active directional indication, or a continuous illuminating effect, and it can be programmed to interface with fire alarms and other existing systems, according to the company.

The MILS-System has been developed for use in various business sectors, such as the marine and offshore sector, the aviation industry, office buildings, hotels, hospitals, tunnels, manufacturing plants, warehouses and leisure/shopping complexes, as well as transportation and automotive system solutions.
