November 28, 2001—Cooper Lighting has opened a new lighting center, entitled Source, at their corpporate division headquarters in Peachtree City, Georgia. The lighting training center, which is comprised on nine application areas, seven showrooms, an auditorium and a Fundamentals/Technology room, offer classes taught by professionally certified lighting consultants to industry professionals and students seeking to advance their lighting knowledge. Source will service approximately 500 students annually. Specifically, Source was created to serve facility managers, architects, interior designers, engineers, remodelers and other with a need to advance illumination skills and expertise.
Innovative techniques are demonstrated to show how an environment can be visually manipulated through illumination. Potentials in flexibility, impact and emotional appeal of a space are underscored through the addition or subtraction of various lamp sources.
