CoreStreet launches initiative to bring security products to commercial sector

September 16, 2005—CoreStreet has launched a major initiative with manufacturers, value-added resellers, and integrators that brings CoreStreet technologies into the commercial sector to protect physical and IT assets, the company says. CoreStreet technologies have already been proven in the highest-security government environments, according to the company, a leading provider of infrastructure and applications for smart credentials.

With ten charter member companies, the new CoreStreet Partner Program paves the way for broad adoption of converged security solutions giving users the ability to control access to buildings, computers, and devices centrally, with each person using its one card for all access.

The charter members are Honeywell, CARGEBT, Precise Biometrics, Indala Corp., Cybertrust, OMNIKEY, ActivCard, Probaris, Anteon International, and DAP Technologies. CoreStreet notes that, for the last two years, its validation technology has been deployed to support the global data networks of US intelligence agencies and the military, including the Common Access Card (CAC) program from the Dept. of Defense. The CAC program, says CoreStreet, has been the largest convergence effort undertaken by the Federal Government.
