May 28, 2003—The Communications Services Group of Cygnal Technologies Corp., a Canadian communications network service provider, has entered into an agreement with MGE UPS Systems Inc., a global leader in high-availability power solutions, to distribute its Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) and other related technologies in Canada.
Under the terms of the agreement, Cygnal’s Communications Services Group will market MGE’s UPS for personal computer, server and enterprise-class technology protection; consumer grade and industrial grade surge suppressors; power management and communications software applications; power distribution unit (PDU) and source transfer switches (STS); power conditioners and transformers; and DC/AC inverters to inverters of small, medium, and large businesses through its network of resellers across Canada.
The Communications Services Group says that MGE’s UPS technology, in particular, will complement its existing product lines. The Group will now be able to offer customers a complete, back-office communications technology solution. As the demand intensifies for power availability and system uptime related to enterprise-wide networks and mission critical telecommunications systems, Cygnal and MGE report that they can offer their customers a combination of cost-effective and energy-efficient solutions to meet their requirements.
