June 4, 2007—Dataprobe has released a new remote power distribution and management solution, the iBootBar. The iBootBar enables Web browser control of eight A/C power outlets for reboot and remote power control of multiple devices.
With the iBootBar, users can protect and maintain devices in areas that cannot easily be accessed and streamline power control of servers, routers, and other devices through a single Web interface. The iBootBar extends Dataprobe’s iBoot family of products for remote power management. Dataprobe is a leading manufacturer of innovative technology solutions for networking systems management.
A cost-effective and easy-to-use technology, according to the company, the iBootBar allows remote equipment to be rebooted or power controlled over an IP network using an Internet browser. The iBootBar allows Web browser control of eight A/C power outlets and each outlet can be independently turned on, off, or cycled for power-on reset (reboot). A serial port or optional internal modems also provided for out-of-band access when the network is unavailable.
The iBootBar can be configured to monitor networked equipment and will automatically reboot the equipment in the case of a system freeze. Dataprobe’s innovative AutoPing feature continuously monitors multiple IP addresses and takes programmed action when it detects non-responsive systems.
The iBootBar is available via Dataprobe’s Web site and through its reseller channels. Models are available for North American or for international use. All models are UL, cUL, CE, and RoHS/WEEE certified.
