December 30, 2005—DesignIntelligence has released its seventh annual survey of Americas Best Architecture and Design Schools, a survey that includes rankings of landscape architecture programs, along with assessments of architecture, interior design, and industrial design programs. The landscape architecture rankings include graduate and undergraduate programs, as well as regional rankings.
The study ranks programs accredited by the Landscape Architecture Review Board, based on the participation of leading landscape architecture firms and public practitioners. The surveys were conducted between June and July 2005 and were targeted to individuals with direct experience hiring and evaluating the performance of graduates. Participants were asked to identify the schools that have best prepared their graduates.
The top three graduate schools, according to the survey, are Harvard University, University of Pennsylvania and University of Georgia. The top three undergraduate programs are at University of Georgia, Purdue University and Louisiana State University.
Americas Best Architecture and Design Schools 2006 is available for $39.95 in printed form, and $24.95 as a PDF download from DesignIntelligence.
