November 17, 2004—Digital Facilities Corporation (DFC), a provider of roofing asset management software, announces the release of RoofPro 4.0. Formerly called InfoRoof Professional (IRP), RoofPro 4.0 is written in ..Net and includes an organized database system, roof maintenance program, and high-quality report generators. New features include new field integration capabilities, and improved program tools designed to accept electronic inspections from RoofPro Inspector, a new program due to be released in 2005. Both software and online service versions of RoofPro offer Outlook integration, enhanced wizards, a new report writer based on Crystal Reports, improved SmartList and SmartText editors, a PDF report generator and an optional roof condition rating system.
RoofPro 4.0 uses a combination of Explorer and MS Outlook style navigation in a .NET application providing users with powerful program options. Among the improvements are a more stable and robust Advantage database and better printing capabilities, including a PDF generation option. RoofPro also improved the most requested functions found in IRP 3.0, such as an organized database system, roof maintenance program, and high-quality report generators. Users can access inspection formats, defect reports, integrated photos, warranty information, work history and financial reports to better manage their building assets. In addition, RoofPro users can attach external files (PDFs, spreadsheets, word processing files) to the RoofPro data and are provided with a separate read-only version for sharing information and files with their clients.
RoofPro 4.0 was also designed to be compatible with other CAFM applications and will eventually be integrated with the tablet PC RoofPro Inspector.
