According to the company, SentrySeries controls represent a blending of the industry’s two best technologies—Diamond Power and Applied Synergistics, Inc.
A key advantage of Diamond Power Sentry Series controls is its open architecture design, which eliminates the problems often encountered when supporting multi-purpose control systems that use proprietary languages, according to Diamond Power. Plants or mills wanting to modify an existing control system, including existing BOS users, will find Sentry Series Control System provides easy migration paths and minimal disruptions, according to Diamond Power.
The SentrySeries Control System is OPC-based providing easy connectivity to other systems using Ethernet or other serial data link without expensive linking devices.
Another advantage, points out Diamond Power, is that it provides added system accessibility to real-time data for remote users via virtual private networks (VPN). VPN provides a secure interface for accessing real-time system data for system diagnostics, upgrades, performance monitoring (boiler performance), and system tuning.
