Disability discrimination bill introduced in UK Parliament

January 18, 2002—The Disability Discrimination (Amendment) Bill was introduced January 14, 2002, in the British House of Lords, according to a report in Workplacelaw Network. The main provisions include: considering HIV and cancer as disabilities; removing the exemption for small employers; and preventing all incorporated or unincorporated associations with over 25 members from discriminating against prospective or current members.
