March 29, 2002—A white paper entitled, “Eliminating Distractions: Sound Decisions from the Ground Up” From Dow Chemical Company discusses the role of floor covering in reducing noise distractions at the workplace. The white paper cites a study from the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) which states, “commercial carpet with integrated cushion allows for the greater use of cushion in the office environment, providing both superior acoustical and ergonomic properties.”
