June 28, 2004—Marlin Controls, Inc. has selected the Airborne Wireless LAN Node Module from DPAC Technologies for its newest line of industrial lighting systems called Stellar.
Marlin provides customized industrial lighting systems used in national restaurant chains such as Outback, Chili’s, Cheesecake Factory, Dave & Busters, P.F. Chang’s and many more. The Airborne module enables wireless remote access and control of complex industrial lighting systems by site managers, technicians, or even executives.
“The Airborne Wireless LAN Node Module allowed us to take advantage of programmable inputs and outputs, therefore, considerably reducing the amount of components required on our printed circuit board,” said Moe Chigani, president for Marlin Controls, Inc. “The programmers could immediately develop their software. In addition, the Airborne module has also been extremely useful for proof-of-concept as there was no need to design a new printed circuit board.”
The Airborne and AirborneDirect family of products provide wireless networking solutions to OEMs requiring industrial grade performance and a quick time-to-market.
