February 27, 2019 — DW (Digital Watchdog), provider of digital recorders, surveillance cameras and related management software, recently announced the availability of its new MEGApix PANO 21-megapixel multi-sensor vandal-resistant IP security camera. The DWC-PZV21M69T camera utilizes four sensors configured for 180° panoramic views, taking the place of multiple cameras and reducing the associated installation costs of a surveillance system.

The four cameras in one housing require only a single network connection and single recording license in DW Spectrum internet protocol video management system (IPVMS) software.

The 21MP security camera produces 180° views at real-time 30fps. The camera supports advanced features such as H.264 codec and Smart DNR (digital noise reduction) in an aluminum vandal housing with zero-distortion antireflective glass including CleanView hydrophobic coating. The 21MP camera does the work of many cameras from one installation, delivering both extra-wide views and details.

Mark Espenschied, director of Marketing, DW, commented:

DW is a leader in both multi-sensor and fisheye panoramic cameras. This new 21-megapixel model fills a crucial need for systems where our unparalleled 48MP model is more resolution than the application requires.
