January 17, 2003—Dynasound Inc., manufacturer of the world’s largest line of sound masking equipment, has achieved the North American ETL seal of safety compliance on its DS1082 Self-Contained Privacy Provider sound masking system. The self-contained system is a sound masking assembly containing both the electronics to generate, shape, and amplify the sound masking signal (as well as the speaker and its enclosures, with volume and tone controls) to deliver effective and efficient sound masking.
According to Dynasound, it is ideal for smaller masking applications, building renovations, conference rooms, branch banks, or any application where there is a need to reduce conversational distractions and protect sensitive conversations.
The 300-cubic-inch unit has a low-resonance enclosure, with stamped reinforcing ribs and a custom die-cut acoustical insert. Also included is an eight-inch diameter speaker with field canceling magnetic structure. An optional, ceiling channel support assembly is available to position the speaker above the back of two-foot wide, lay-in ceiling panels. This eliminates the need for speaker drops, ceiling panel cuts, or ceiling grid reconfigurations.
