Dynasound introduces a new sound masker for low-profile access floors

Made specifically for low profile access floors, Dynasound, Inc., has developed DS2490LP (Low Profile) Access Floor Master—a loudspeaker masker designed for rapid installation into access floor cavities less than six inches in height. Also new from Dynasound are CAAD 2.4 Acoustical Programming and the DS1092 Masking, Music and Paging Unit.

Dynasound’s DS2490LP is used for applications where superior sound uniformity is required and conventional ceiling plenum masking is inappropriate. When installed, the assembly is invisible, no floor penetrations are required, and sound distribution within the access floor cavity is very uniform. CAAD 2.4 is an innovative, Windows-based, software program that allows users to predict speech privacy results from the combined effect of furniture, panel, ceiling, floor and background sound systems. The program also defaults to a value-engineering module that identifies over and under-performing components.

The DS1092, a shelf-mounted unit, is designed for use in smaller masking systems (5,000 – 10,000 sq.ft.) that incorporate paging and/or music. Powering up to 40 loudspeakers, the DS1092 has an average coverage of 9,000 square feet. With the simple addition of loudspeakers the DS1092 is a complete sound system.

Dynasound manufactures sound masking systems to provide speech Privacy Solutions with maskers for: ceiling plenums, access floor cavities, doors, walls, windows and utility penetrations. For more information about Dynasound and its products, visit www.dynasound.com or call 800.989.6275.
