Dynasoundss sound masking systems for shallow ceilings get ETL marks of approval

May 15, 2002—Dynasound’s DS2490 Raised Access Floor Masker and the DS1347 Low Profile Ceiling Master have both received the ETL mark of approval for use in air handling plenums for floor and ceiling. The ETL Listed Mark is a nationally recognized product safety mark found on both consumer and industrial products, signifying that the Dynasound products have been fully tested by a recognized third-party agency.

The DS2490 is the first loudspeaker masker designed to accommodate low-profile raised access floors with cavities greater than two inches in height, according to Dynasound, Inc., a large provider of design-build sound masking systems. The firm explains that the system can be installed where conventional suspended ceilings are unsuitable and where wire management is provided with low-profile raised access floors.

The DS1347 is designed for rapid installation into ceiling plenums of suspended ceilings with space as shallow as 12 inches in height. Once installed, Dynasound explains that the assembly is invisible, no ceiling penetrations are required, and sound distribution below the ceiling is very uniform.
