April 23, 2004—E-Mon, a provider of energy submetering systems has been awarded an U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Supply Schedule Contract for its advanced metering products. E-Mon is the first full-service submetering company to be added to the GSA schedule, an approved product purchasing guide and catalog for federal facility managers nationwide.
E-Mon already has assisted many federal facility managers, including those at the Smithsonian Institution, the Los Angeles Air Force Base, and the U.S. Naval Station at Roosevelt Roads in Puerto Rico, to achieve utility cost reductions as well as perform cost allocations and bill users.
The GSA schedule also includes the E-Mon D-Mon and the Pro-Mon submeters, which enable organizations to benchmark, analyze and allocate their energy consumption costs, and RightEnergy software, an integrated energy intelligence system for electricity, gas, water, steam and other energy sources. RightEnergy allows users to allocate and bill costs for all utility services to the actual users of that energy.
The system works in tandem with E-Mon submeters to give facility managers snapshots of their energy use, enabling them to better understand when, where and how energy is being used in their organizations, as well as the power quality levels at each monitored point.
A nationwide network of E-Mon distributors is available to federal energy managers by calling 800/334-3666.
The products on the Federal Supply Schedule are also listed and available for purchase on the GSA Advantage! Web site.
