February 25, 2005—Eagle Technology, Inc. has introduced ProTeus Alarm Interface (PAI), which provides a one-of-a-kind integration with BAS environments to increase productivity and reduce response times.
PAI is at the heart of ProTeus IV, Eagle’s most recent and innovative Computer Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) for facilities maintenance. It facilitates instantaneous activation of work orders based on real-time parameters such as alarms and other events.
The ProTeus IV system adds value by reducing downtime increases asset life and improves productivity, according to Eagle. With the addition of PAI, it also reduces labor costs through real-time monitoring, according to the company, since PAI minimizes employee time required to read, analyze, activate and create work orders.
PAI also offers increased efficiency when handling preventive maintenance, the company notes. Runtime triggers prevent a maintenance team from over- or under-maintaining equipment, which equates to less downtime, more efficient use of manpower and an increased life for HVAC equipment.
